Our Education Theory
&
English Language Teaching
Our background focuses on the educational theory of Robert Marzano. His learning model is based on what each student is able to achieve instead of what they are unable to do or on what they have not been able to accomplish. Starting from this point generates a positive effect on the student which creates a beneficial foundation. One of Marzano’s most important concepts is engagement. When a student is not engaged in the classroom, many times their learning process is fractured. We believe that engaging with the student, really listening to what they like and dislike about their class, what they believe are their strengths and weaknesses in their process, is crucial to designing classes that will complement their academic process in school in order to help them be successful.
TEENGLISH
TEENGLISH is our tutoring and reinforcement area where we elaborate an individual plan, based on the students’ needs and interests (pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, reading comprehension, listening, writing or literary analysis, among others) in order to help them be successful in school.
DIFFERENTIAL
LEARNING
DIFFERENTIAL LEARNING is our program for kids with special needs or diagnosed conditions. It is divided in two approaches: Academic Reinforcement and Creative Development. They both develop individual plans for each student in order to help them have a positive relationship with reading and writing in English. Our goal here is to make the relationship between the student and English, one that is pleasant and beneficial.
LOGOMANIACS
LOGOMANIACS is our program for creative writers and is designed for students who can’t get enough of English literature. It develops their specific reading and writing skills at an advanced level. The students in this program are authors and literary critics in the making who will benefit from a rich intellectual environment.
